Wimberley, Texas will be in the path of totality for the Great North American Eclipse - a total solar eclipse on Monday, April 8, 2024.
A total solar eclipse happens when the moon passes between the sun and Earth, completely blocking the face of the sun. It is reasonable to expect hundreds of thousands of visitors in the Hill Country for the total solar eclipse of 2024. Tens of millions of people will travel into the roughly 100-mile-wide paths across the continent where they can see maximum coverage of the Sun by the Moon. The influx of people into Hays County will demand tremendous support and resources to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
Two eclipse events are happening in Wimberley!
The Annual Solar Eclipse is happening on October 24th, 2023, and the Total Socal Eclipse is on April 4th, 2024.
