Rebecca Minnick, Mayor Pro Tem, Place One, has served on the Wimberley City Council for 2½ years bringing previous volunteer service on both the Planning & Zoning Commission and Board of Adjustments for the City of Wimberley. She also served on the City of Bellaire's Planning & Zoning Commission.
Since beginning her term, Rebecca has taken the lead on projects that solve issues related to downtown parking, traffic and pedestrian safety.
Along with her municipal volunteer service, Rebecca has training in crisis communication and leadership, and takes ongoing real estate courses, and college courses in communications, marketing, advertising and public relations.
She has worked in the public and private sectors in communication, marketing and public relations. She enjoys cooking and entertaining, and volunteering in the community as a member of both the Wimberley Community Civic Club and the Wimberley Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Rebecca and her husband have two sons and one granddaughter.
