Responsibilities
The Wimberley City Council established a Parks and Recreation Board to provide and maintain land and facilities for the recreation and enjoyment of its citizens. MHS Planning & Design and the Parks and Recreation Board created a Parks Master Plan (PDF) that been adopted by Council.

The Board is charged with promotion of active recreational pursuits and preservation of unspoiled tracts of land and open space within the jurisdiction of the City.
