Code Enforcement

The purpose of code enforcement is to provide for the public's health and general welfare, the efficient and effective provision of city services, and the protection of the environment and natural resources of the community.

 

Common Code Violations

 

  • Failure to Maintain Property - Grass/weeds in excess of 12 inches; accumulations of rubbish, refuse, brush and other objectionable, unsightly, or unsanitary matter.
  • Junked Vehicle - A motor vehicle that is wrecked, dismantled, or partially dismantled or discarded, or inoperable and has remained inoperable for more than 72 hours on public property or 30 consecutive days on private property.
